| Overview | : | Nadat Peter Scholten (44) een burn-out krijgt is hij klaar met het werken in Nederland. Samen met zijn vrouw Heike (42) en kinderen Mathieu (15) en Luna (7) gaat hij ter ontspanning op vakantie naar Zuid-Afrika. Daar aangekomen worden ze allemaal op slag verliefd op het land en besluiten er te gaan wonen. Na een lange zoektocht vindt het gezin een lodge in de buurt van het Krugerpark, waarmee ze grootse plannen hebben. Met pijn in haar hart laat Heike haar oudste zoon Robby (21) in Nederland achter en vertrekt met de rest van het gezin naar het vakantiepark waar 's nachts de luipaarden over het terrein lopen. Behalve het openen van de lodge willen ze graag iets goeds doen voor de bevolking. Ze willen daarom vrijwilligersprojecten opzetten en ook lokale mensen in dienst nemen op de lodge. Aan dit laatste hebben ze een zware kluif omdat de werkmentaliteit anders is dan Peter en Heike gewend zijn. Dan blijkt dat de lodge in veel slechtere staat is dan ze aanvankelijk dachten en dat terwijl over drie maanden het hoogseizoen begint. |
